Mickey Mouse Party Invitations

Hey guys, it’s time for a little “Crafty Chaos” with Erin again! My Irish Twins are about to turn 3 and 4 (I still can’t believe it) and it’s time to start thinking about their party. Disney is quickly becoming a household name with these two, especially Mickey Mouse, so there was no hesitation when I asked them what type of party they’d like! Pinterest is filled to the brim with Mickey Mouse party ideas, and I quickly gathered up some invite ideas, and came up with these quick and easy invites. And yes, easy and quick enough to fit in your little one’s nap time. Ha!

Mickey Mouse Invite Picture-001

TIME REQUIRED: 30 minutes (for 6 invites)
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy
SPECIAL SKILLS/TOOLS: A Silhouette Cutter Makes it Quick!

Materials:

-Cardstock

-Mini Brads

-Scrapbook glue dots

-White Buttons

Step 1: Design the invitation-I grabbed a Mickey Mouse ears outline online (there are a lot that are free for use, even Disney supplies some), and opened it up in my Silhouette Studio software. Using it as a template, I created a couple of circles that would fit inside it, as well as text.

Step 2: Create, Print, and Cut Text

Step 5-Using a Mini Brad, Attach the Red Half Circle to the Invitation-to help me poke the hole, I used the um, pointy vinyl tool. I’m sure it has a real name.

And there you have it! Super cute, SUPER easy Mickey invites sure to please any Disney fan! Now that these are done, it’s time to move on to some other details to make this party happen, though finding the time (and the energy) does get a little tricky. Oh, and a little bit of the honestly game. I am honestly writing this post with one hand and a baby on my lap. While my eldest is tickling him. True Story.

And I honestly didn’t even think about blogging this invite, until Amy was all “IT’S SO CUTE YOU MUST DO IT” so all pictures are after-thought cell phone shots, and I even ripped open Little Crafter’s invite envelope to grab a picture. Sorry LC, Miss Erin already got you a shiny new envelope. =)
