Friends, I’m excited to introduce you to our next judge, who knows the competition from the other side…last year she was one of our contestants! Here she is to introduce herself…
Hi! I’m Jessi from Practically Functional, where I blog about simple, practical ways to love your home, no matter where you live! We have a tiny apartment just 5 miles north of Downtown Chicago, but the small space (and lack of a car!) doesn’t stop me from crafting, cooking, gardening, organizing, and even big DIY projects. We love every single square foot of our little home, and you can love yours too! And don’t worry, I’ll give you detailed instructions and pictures in every tutorial. 🙂
Glue! I seriously have a giant bucket of tons of different types of glue for every occasion. And I think I never really grew out of the put-glue-on-your-fingers-and-
peel-it-off-later stage of being a kid. So much fun!
2. My favorite crafting project ever is?
I think my favorite craft project is the Harry Potter and Ron Weasley Kindle covers I made recently. First, I’m a total nerd girl, so they were a ton of fun to make and they turned out so cute! And second, I made them for a friend and she totally LOVED them, so that’s always awesome too!
3. What’s your favorite Starbucks drink?
Umm, chai lattes for sure!!! I’m not a coffee drinker, so that is my go-to drink! (Unless it’s fall, then pretty much any of their fall drinks!)
4. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Italy, I think. We’ve never been and I have a lot of family back there still, so it would be fun to visit. Plus, I hear it’s gorgeous!
5. What’s the best thing about crafting?
The best thing about crafting is that you get to create with your hands! I love spending time working on a project and ending up with something tangible that I created!
6. Why are you looking forward to judging?
I am so excited to be a judge because I can’t wait to see all of the creativity that everyone will bring to this contest! I am always amazed by the brilliant ideas that I see other people do in their crafts that never would have occurred to me to try!
