One of the things I like about shopping at Martin’s is that you can see how much you’re saving on certain items compared to the price at other grocery stores. It was nice to know I was getting the chocolate chips 30 cents cheaper than if I had gone to the store down the street.
The Raspberry Chocolate Chip Bars also require chopped pecans, so I was excited to see that they were one of the weekly specials! I saved 25%; woohoo!
To see lots more photos of our trip and feel like you were really shopping with us {it’s always quite an experience, trust me!}, stop by and check out my Google+ Album! I promise more cute pictures of LC! Once we got home, it was time to get busy putting all our ingredients to work!
Here’s a look at mine, all printed out and ready to use:
The first recipe I tried {no surprise} was the Raspberry Chocolate Bars, and they were just as delicious as they sounded! They were also quick and easy to make, which you know is super-important since I’m no gourmet chef! The recipe made a full 9×13 pan of bars, so we had plenty to share with our Bible Study group, who wholeheartedly gave them two thumbs up!
There were even two people in the group who didn’t think they’d like these because one isn’t a huge fan of chocolate and the other isn’t crazy about raspberry, but both were pleasantly surprised and said they were actually really good! {And I know they weren’t just saying so to be nice because they cleaned their plates.} Yay for a tasty new recipe that’s easy to make! Don’t forget to check out Martin’s Meal Planner to see how it can help you add some variety to your daily dinner menu! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have, um, a little something to take care of…

We don’t have a Martin’s here but I love the meal planners! And that cart is just the best – we have ONE grocery store nearby that has the car-carts and I go there whenever I can, it’s the only way to keep my daughter in the cart!
