Friends, you all know that I love me my Baltimore Ravens! So, when I got an email from Glasses.com asking me to review their products and service, I decided it was only appropriate to get some Team Spirited eyewear! I have a pair of glasses I really love with black frames, but sometimes a girl just needs a little color in her life…particularly if that color happens to be purple!
I fell in love with this pair of Eddie Bauer frames as soon as I saw them. The shape is similar to the pair I normally wear, which I know I like on my face, but the lenses are slightly larger, which is actually nice because it gives me a little bit of extra peripheral vision. What really sold me on this particular pair, though, was the detail on the earpieces! How fun is this?!
Once I’d chosen my frames, I went to checkout, where I chose the lens type I wanted {by the way, lenses are 50% off right now!} and entered my prescription. You can choose to send it to them directly or to enter it online. Since I already had mine from my last eye doctor visit and it’s pretty straightforward, I just entered the numbers myself.
One important number you also have to provide is your PD, or Pupillary Distance. This is just what it sounds like, the distance between the centers of your pupils…it’s a key in making sure you can see correctly out of your new lenses. If you, like me, have no clue what yours is, you can download this nifty little chart. You fold it in half and either have someone measure it for you, or do it yourself in the mirror like I did. {Mine’s 62}.
My glasses arrived incredibly quickly, within a week of placing the order. Oh, and did I mention shipping is FREE? They came in a nice hard case with a cleaning cloth, and were just as I expected them to be.
Just as fun in person as on the website! They fit my face just fine, but if they hadn’t I could have sent them back within 30 days. Glasses.com also has a free in-home trial option, where you can get the frames sent to you {again for free}, try them on, and then decide if you like them and want to get the lenses in them or not. I was thrilled with mine! First of all, I’ve had two instances in the past several years where one of my lenses got damaged and I didn’t have a backup pair to wear. I have a strong prescription, which means I can only see about three inches from my nose without my glasses or contacts, so I was in big trouble! It’s nice to know I have a second pair so I don’t end up in that situation again! Plus, y’all know I love to accessorize! Now, when I’m wearing something that goes well with purple, these will be my go-to choice. And of course, Sundays…that goes without saying! GO RAVENS!
If you don’t need glasses, Glasses.com also offers prescription AND non-prescription sunglasses! Just sayin’…

Your glasses look very nice on you and they couldn’t fit you any better. They appear to very comfortable as well. If you have to wear glasses it is so very important that they are comfortable to wear. And of course that the prescription is perfect for your eyes as well. One thing I took note of was where you showed how the form looks that you fill your prescription and I couldn’t help but notice that based on what you posted your left eye has perfect vision. This is possible of course but a bit unusual. It could be thta you were only filling in the blanks to show how it looks on screen. and is not your actual prescription at all. (retired optician)
