As you know, friends, December is a very busy month for the Artsy Family! We have things to celebrate all month long, starting with my birthday on the 14th, followed by all our Christmas festivities, and then finishing up with our wedding anniversary on the 29th and New Year’s Eve. We do a lot of hosting during this time of year, which I love, and if you do the same, I thought you might like these cute little winter party favors! They’re easy to make, inexpensive, and sure to be a hit!
Winter Party Favors
Materials:
– small metal buckets {mine were provided by David Tutera}
– white and teal acrylic or multi-surface paint
– paintbrush
– adhesive alphabet stencils {mine were provided by DecoArt}
– lace {also provided by David Tutera}
– glitter paint or decoupage formula
– assorted tea bags, mints, chocolates, or other yummy goodies
Step 1: Paint the bucket white. I had to give mine three coats to totally cover the metal. Be patient and let the paint dry in between coats {trust me, you’ll be glad in the long run}.
Step 2: Stencil a letter onto the front of the bucket. The adhesive stencil should stick right onto the bucket, making it easy to dab just a little bit of your paint on and create a letter. You can use your own monogram or the monograms of your guests. You could also use a snowflake or another image instead.
Step 3: Once all paint is dry, apply a coat of glitter. Depending on the look you want, you can choose a medium with either fine or coarse glitter. I wanted mine to add a lot of texture to make it look snowy as well as add a lot of sparkle, so I chose to go with coarse.
Step 4: Fill with lace and goodies.
That’s all there is to it! Super simple, easy to do, and perfect for this time of year! A few of #myfavoritebloggers are sharing some Winter themed projects and recipes of their own today that I think you’re going to love too. Here’s a quick look at their beautiful faces:

I’m always so tempted to buy the little buckets I see at Target, but I never know what to do with them. Well, now I know! These are great little gifts!
