Hey, friends! If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know that I’ve made a lot of different projects with my trusty Silhouette Cameo, “Cammie.” Recently, I put her to the test with her biggest job ever! Our church recently celebrated its 10th birthday and did some major renovating upstairs. Once the new walls were up and painted, my assignment was to create custom vinyl wall art.
Fortunately, Steve {our pastor} worked up the design that included our mission statement and motto, and sent me a file showing me just how he wanted things laid out and what font sizes each piece would need to be. All I had to do was type things into my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition, then have Cammie cut everything out of adhesive vinyl. {Huge thanks to Expressions Vinyl for providing us with what we needed for this project! We really appreciated it.} The cutting took a good while because the largest letters are about 12×12″ each, so they had to be cut one at a time.
Once everything was cut, we used a level and a ruler and measured out where each piece of the design needed to go. With the help of some painter’s tape to make straight lines, as well as transfer paper, it turned out pretty amazing, in my opinion! I love that we’re able to have something so personalized that reminds us what we’re all about. Although I was intimidated by the project at first, I’m so pleased with how it looks and glad Cammie and I were able to be a part of it. Thanks again to our friends at Expressions Vinyl!
