Thanks to Tampico for sponsoring this project! All opinions and ideas are my own.
Spring is the time for beautiful flowers! With Mother’s Day fast approaching, I wanted to share this quick stenciled flowerpot project with you because I think it would make a perfect gift for any special woman in your life. Mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter, best friend…all of them would love to receive a cheerful flower in a pretty decorated pot, right?
Over the years, I’ve done lots of different things with my terracotta flowerpots; everything from polka dots and covering them with fabric to chalkboard labels and extreme glitter. I’ve even let Little Crafter get in on the fun and design his own. This time, though, I wanted to go for a vintage look. I decided to go with an old wine box label effect combined with the leftover chalk paint from my end table project. It took hardly any time at all and I’m thrilled with how it turned out.
I’m sharing the full how-to over on the Tampico blog, including how I created my own stencil and you can too! I’d love for you to stop by and check it out; then you can make your own as a Mother’s Day gift or to keep for yourself!
What do you think? Is this a gift you’d enjoy making and/or receiving?
