Ice Cream Themed Teacher Gift & Free Printable
The end of the school year is here, and it’s time to think about gift ideas for the special teachers in your life! Here’s a quick and easy idea that any teacher will appreciate. Summer days are perfect for cold treats like ice cream, and this ice cream themed teacher gift basket is sure to be a big hit.
It’s filled with everything you need for a delicious ice cream sundae, just add the ice cream! There are toppings, bowls, spoons, a scoop, and even a fun “ice cream cone” made from dish cloths to help you clean up. Here’s how to create your own.

Making a Dish Cloth Ice Cream Cone
Materials:
Two dish cloths
1 sheet of 12×12″ brown kraft paper cut into a half-circle
Scissors
Tape
Marker or brush pen
Step 1: Open both dishcloths and lay them in front of you so that the corners are on the top, bottom, left, and right. The cloth on the left should overlap the one on the right by about 4″, as shown below.
Step 2: Fold the top corners down so you have two triangles with the points at the bottom.
Step 3: Fold the bottom points up until they touch the original fold.
Step 4: Fold up again from the bottom.
Step 5: Start at one end and begin rolling the dishcloth. At the end, tuck the remainder of the cloth into the existing folds.
This will be the ice cream in your cone!
Step 6: Roll the half-circle of kraft paper into a cone shape. Make sure it’s sized to fit your “ice cream” inside. Tape the seam.
Step 7 (optional): Write the name of the teacher on the cone.

Step 8: Place the rolled up “ice cream” inside the cone. Use double sided tape to secure it in place.
Once your cone is finished, it’s ready to place inside the basket with all the other ice cream themed goodies! Here’s a list of what I used, as well as a few other ideas.
