Scrappy Fabric Hearts
Create these hearts and leave them around your community for others to find and enjoy!
Equipment
- scissors
- sewing machine and/or sewing needle
Materials
- fabric scraps
- batting
- thread
- ribbon
- charm (optional)
- tag
Instructions
- Cut your scraps into strips that are between 1” - 1 1/2” wide and sew together.
- Cut into heart shapes that are approximately 3 1/2” (or whatever size you like).
- Cut a heart shaped piece of batting and place it under your fabric heart.
- Put the two layers on top of a piece of backing fabric. Sew around the edges of the heart, securing all three layers together.
- Cut around the heart shape to trim the backing fabric.
- Add a ribbon hanger.
- Add a charm (optional) and a tag.
- Hang your hearts for others to find!
