Friends, you all know I’m no chef! Artist, yes. Letter-er, absolutely. Author? You bet. But when it comes to cooking, I’m all about whatever is easy, quick, and inexpensive. I don’t enjoy whipping things up from total scratch or spending all day in the kitchen. That’s why I love things I can make in the slow cooker. Just recently, I started using a new recipe for chili that our neighbors shared with us. I can’t take any credit for it…send all your kudos to Lisa and/or Wade, because they came up with a delicious recipe that’s so easy even I can do it. It’s the perfect blend of spicy and sweet and you’re going to love the way it warms you up this winter!
Sweet & Spicy Chili Recipe
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can Bush's Best Chili Magic Traditional Mild Chili Starter
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 5-6 bay leaves
- Brown and drain ground beef.
- Add ground beef, chili starter, diced tomatoes, brown sugar, and bay leaves to your slow cooker.
- Simmer on low for 6-8 hours.
That’s all there is to it! If you give it a try, I’d love to know what you think!
This looks like a winner. i shall try this recipe as i am a great fan of chilli, although i would probably throw in a few kidney beans aswell..
