Dum-Bunnies?

For reasons unbeknownst to me, Little Crafter absolutely hates chocolate!  I know, I can’t understand it either.  But the treat he does enjoy most of all is a good lollipop!  He’s crazy about dum-dums, so when we came across this idea for making bunny pops on Pinterest, there was no rest in the Artsy house until we pinned them and planned to make some.  Here’s how ours turned out:
DUM-DUM BUNNIES
We invited our friends the S family over to play and craft with us, so the bunnies you see above belong to {L-R} Little Crafter, Princess C, and Princess A.
Materials {per bunny}:
– Dum-Dum pop
– small wooden heart
– small wooden bead
– white pipecleaner
– 1 tiny pink pom-pom, 2 small white pom poms
– 2 tiny google eyes
– craft glue
– ribbon {optional}
STEP 1: Paint the wooden heart and bead.  Let dry.  Here’s sweet Princess A working on hers.

STEP 2: Turn lollipop upside down and glue to wooden heart.  Slide bead onto stick and attach eyes and nose.  Bend pipecleaner into ears and glue to bead.  Finish by gluing pom-pom arms in place.

Little Crafter looooves his bunny; his only complaint is that he can’t eat the lollipop.  Here it is along with the other crafts we made with our friends.  Be sure to check out the chicks here.

Happy Crafting!

  2. I’ve never heard them called dum-dums before, but these are super sweet. I don’t get the no chocolate but I understand the love for dum-dums, lol. Thanks for sharing at our party this week.
