Chevron Apron with Frog Tape®

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape Brand Painter’s Tape for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hey, friends!  Today I have a super-quick, super-easy project that I think you’re going to love!  Have you ever bought a plain bag, shirt, or apron and wanted to spruce it up a bit?  All you need is Frog Tape® Shape Tape™ and some spray paint, and you’ll have a fabulous creation in no time.  Take a look…

– Krylon ColorMaster Spray Paint, White

This is the apron I started out with.  It’s a nice color, but much too boring for an artsy mama, right?

Step 1: Place Frog Tape® across the bottom of the apron in three straight rows.  I didn’t want to get any stray spray paint on the top of the apron above my chevron lines, so I also used the tape to secure a large piece of paper to protect it.  {It was the kind of paper they use to wrap up your breakables at Michaels!}

Step 2: Spray a few light coats of paint according to the directions on the can.  Even though the apron still looked pink, I could tell it was working because the Frog Tape® turned white.

Step 3: Once the paint is dry, remove the tape, and enjoy your new apron!

Frog Tape® was so easy to use, and it’s the only painters’ tape treated with a special Paint Block® Technology.  It’s a super-absorbent polymer that reacts with latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape and prevents paint from bleeding.  Plus, it comes in fun shapes and it’s great for painting around curves, odd shapes, and textures.  I’m already thinking about doing this same thing on a few plain {boring} tote bags I have!  What about you?  How would you use Frog Tape®?
