Disney Party Invites

DisneyInvitePin

Hi friends! We have an exciting event happening this Saturday in One Artsy Mama land. Disney is giving us a chance to celebrate their newest program Disney Imagicademy and the arrival of their brand new app “Mickey’s Magical Math World“! We get to invite several of our little friends over to play some games, have some snacks, and most importantly, try out the new app! I (Erin) came up with this invitation design to set the mood for a fun-filled space-themed Disney party!

Disney Party Invites (with a space-theme twist!)

Materials:

-Various Colored Cardstock

-Glue Dots

-Elastic Cording

-Hole Punch

-Optional-Paper/Vinyl Cutter

Step 1: Design, print, and cut invitation pieces out. I love using different layers and textures of cardstock because it gives the invitation a more complete look.

Step 2: Use glue dots to adhere parts together. I use glue dots because there’s no mess or bleed through, but you can use your preferred adhesive.

Step 3:  Cut a rectangle out of cardstock, fold in half, and glue on the back. This is to hold Mickey in place.

Step 4: Cut a piece of elastic. Punch a hole in the cardstock and tie one end of the elastic to it, and fasten the other end to Mickey. I was able to slip the elastic in between Mickey’s paper layers and glue shut.

And that’s it! With just a little cutting and gluing, I created a fun and personal invite for this Saturday’s party. I absolutely love how these turned out and I think the design is the perfect mix of space and Mickey. Stay tuned the rest of the week for our party activities, snacks, and favors, and most importantly, the fun we have with Disney’s newest app!
