This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #TrainYourDragonAtWalmart http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

One thing we love in our house is movie night! What could be better than curling up under a blanket with a snack while watching a great story come to life? We take turns choosing our favorite movies, and this time our 12 year old picked the newly released How to Train Your Dragon 3.

Like the first two movies in the trilogy, How to Train Your Dragon 3 is a heartwarming story of unconditional love and sacrifice. It’s about growing up, moving forward, and making difficult choices. For this third piece of the story, there’s a brand new character I particularly like, a female dragon! She’s gentle and playful, but also fiercely protective of those she loves…just like a lot of the females I know.

To get our movie night started, we headed to our local Walmart to grab the How to Train Your Dragon 3 Walmart Exclusive DVD Gift Set, which includes the movie on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital, as well as 2 Funko keychains: Toothless and the Light Fury. There are also lots of fun How to Train Your Dragon toys and apparel items at Walmart too; we grabbed a snuggly 40 x 50″ throw along with some dragon and rider action figures. Before heading to the store, I purchased my products online at Walmart.com. If you purchase online, you can choose the “pick up in store” option and everything will be right there waiting for you when you arrive.

Then, we whipped up a special snack based on our two favorite dragons, Toothless and Light Fury. Since popcorn is the classic movie snack, we used that as a base, then added some sweet ingredients that represent the body and eye colors of the dragons. Here’s how to make your own:

How to Train Your Dragon 3 Salty & Sweet Snack Mix

1/4 cup dark chocolate morsels

1/4 cup white chocolate morsels

1/4 cup blue & green candy coated chocolates and/or candy coated chocolates with peanuts

1 bag salted microwave popcorn

To create the mix, just pop one bag of your favorite salted microwave popcorn. Let it cool, then add in the chocolate chips and candies. Feel free to adjust the amount of each ingredient to your own personal taste. Mix everything around, and you’ve got a sweet and salty snack that’s sure to be a hit with the whole family, dragons included.

What are you waiting for? Head to Walmart and purchase the new release of How to Train Your Dragon 3 Walmart Exclusive DVD Gift Set today, so you can enjoy your own movie night!
