{Our} Home for the Holidays

It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays!

*Happy dance!*

This is officially my favorite time of year!  November and December are just so much fun!
In our house it means:

– Ravens game on Thanksgiving Day this year!!
– Black Friday shopping with mom
– decorating the house
– Christmas shopping/craft making
– “Tree day”
– baking and eating goodies
– wrapping gifts…one of my favorite things to do
– visiting family
– advent activities including a drive-thru nativity and a Christmas chain
-ornament exchanges
– peppermint mochas
– riding around looking at Christmas lights
– Cookie give-away {more on that later}
-Operation Christmas Child
– my birthday: December 14th!
-sledding and snow tubing
– latkes and menorahs to celebrate Hanukkah
– church on Christmas Eve and reading the Bible story to Little Crafter
-our anniversary: December 29th – 10 years this year!
…and so much more!
What does the holidays look like at your house?
All of us have special traditions, recipes, and activities that are unique to our families as we celebrate this wonderful time of year.  This season, I have invited twenty-two of my bloggy friends to share some of their traditions with us here at One Artsy Mama.  Each weekend between now and Christmas, the week before Christmas, and the week leading up to New Year’s, they will be inviting you into their homes for a glimpse at “{our}home for the holidays.”  I hope you’ll join me in welcoming them and enjoying the special things they have to share.  You are going to love seeing how they celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s!
Here’s a sneak peek at the lovely ladies who are going to be sharing with us:

I can’t wait!!  See you there!

  2. What a wonderful idea. I find myself enjoying the holidays more and more now that I can pass on the traditions I grew up with, as well as creating new ones, with my little man.

  3. WooP WooP! I can’t wait to read about all the traditions! I loved your post – so many fun times. Is “tree day” the day you decorate the Christmas tree because I love that day!? I’m also really excited for black friday shopping!
