New Crafty Space and a Gift for Mom

Well, here it is, friends…my new and improved crafty space!
I used to have my crafting room upstairs, next to LC’s room, but let’s face it, since I do my “big girl” sewing and crafting when he’s napping {some of which also involves metal stamping}, that just wasn’t working out.  Instead, things kept migrating down to the basement where our “office” was but they just cluttered things up because they didn’t have a real home, know what I mean?  So, we finally bit the bullet and made the switch; crafting stuff down, office stuff up.

I’m able to keep my sewing machine out now…yaaay!
All my Stampin’ Up! goodies from back in the day are on the bookshelf, and I’ve got all kinds of fun things like yarn, ribbon, fabric paint, canvases, and foamy stuff for LC in the wire crates.  Big pieces of fabric are in the plastic tote.

The things in the rainbow organizer are mostly LC’s; stickers, pipe cleaners, pom poms, wooden shapes to paint, popsicle sticks, google eyes…all our goodies from Craftprojectideas…and the other organizer is mine.  Paint, fabric, and three drawers of jewelry supplies.  Ahh.
I know lots of you have bigger, better craft spaces than this, but it’s just heavenly to me!  Once it was all set up, I couldn’t wait to try out my new organizational system.  Want to see my first “downstairs project”?  Here’s the custom mother pendant I made for sweet Heather from A Cupcake Love Affair who ordered it for her mom.
Hope she likes it!  Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a special Mother’s Day gift for someone in your life, stop by the Etsy shop…the family birthstone, peas in a pod, and dictionary necklaces can all be customized to be a truly one of a kind gift from the heart!  Use FORMOM10 to get 10% off any purchase.

  1. Oh it looks wonderful!! I am still waiting for my own space. 🙂 We are in the process of building a house and then I will have a room for my crafts but for now I have it sitting in a small corner of the hallway and I have to keep moving my sewing machine from the table to the closet. I am new to blogging and just found your blog last week. I will be checking out your blog tips because I really am clueless but I registered to win a button from you at Here Comes the Sun, so here is hoping I have good luck. Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Love your craft area! My crafts have been in my bedroom forever! We finally finished the basement and moved them down. But I have yet to get everything organized and functional.

  3. It’s so organized and neat! Since we moved my crafts have been piled up in boxes in a storage room in the basement, in the garage, and in the laundry room! I’m jealous of your space! Someday I’ll get it together! 🙂
