I’m Back!

Welcome, friends, to the brand new home of One Artsy Mama! I’m getting all settled in here and trying to get everything in tip-top shape, just the way I like it, but in the meantime, we can get back to business as usual! Just a warning, some of the old posts might look a little wack-a-doodle if you try viewing them, but from here on out, things should be a-ok! I don’t have a new tutorial for you this weekend, since most of my time these days has been spent getting the blog all ready for you, but I do have a few 4th of July photos to share!

An Artsy Mama’s work is never done!  At our annual family get-together, I had fun helping LC and his cousin Elle {who was visiting from California!} make some tasty patriotic dessert kebabs with fruit and star shaped marshmallows.

They were a hit!  Just as tasty as they were adorable…

The best part of our day, though, besides the delicious steamed crabs, was that so much of our family was all in one place!  We had hubby’s parents and his two living grandparents, plus an uncle and his family, and on my side, we had my parents and grandmother.  That meant we got the opportunity to take a few really special photos.

This is my side of the family {can you tell}.  Four generations represented here: my paternal grandmother, my dad, myself, and LC.  We decided to let my momma in on a picture too.

And here’s a really neat one…two sets of four generations. Hubby’s mom and maternal grandfather, hubby, LC, my father-in-law, and his mother.  Isn’t that awesome?

I can’t think of a time in my life when all four of my grandparents were in the same place at the same time, and here LC has not only that, but three of his four living great-grandparents too!  I’d say he’s one blessed little guy!

Hope you all had a fabulous time celebrating the 4th!  In other news, LC is reading up a storm, getting excited for school to start, and learning to play “Sorry.”

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my new “home”!  And a HUGE thank-you to the fabulous Laura Summers who made it happen!  I’ll still be making some more tweaks, but for now I’m going to take a big deep breath and eat a big bowl of ice cream and hit the sack!  Stay tuned for some fun posts this week; I’ll see you on the other side of the weekend!

Hugs & Glitter,

siggy
