Monster Treat Bags

You’re not you when you’re hungry. Hunger can make us do and say things we wouldn’t normally and it keeps us from focusing on the other things going on around us. How do you react? Maybe you get grouchy or impatient. Maybe you whine a lot or become a drama queen. Maybe you just plain turn into a monster! Thankfully, you don’t have to stay that way! With its delicious combination of roasted peanuts, nougat, caramel, and milk chocolate, SNICKERS® Brand handles your hunger so you can handle everything else.

Just choose the SNICKERS® bar that best describes who you are when you’re hungry at your local Walmart, then enjoy it to make that hunger disappear.

One of the times I find myself getting the most hungry is in the afternoon, right around the time I pick my son up from school. It’s been hours since lunch but it’s not time for dinner yet, so I hit that mid-afternoon slump. It occurred to me recently that some {or maybe all} of the other parents in the carpool line might be feeling the same way, but they might not have a snack on hand. What if I were to give out some SNICKERS® bars while we all waited for dismissal?

Since I’m the “artsy mama,” instead of just handing out the candy bars, I decided to package them in a fun way by creating Monster Treat Bags. Not only are they perfect for this time of year, they remind those hungry parents not to be monsters because they haven’t eaten! Here’s how I made them, and you can too!

Materials:
Solid colored paper bags {mine were less than $1 in the card and gift wrap section at Walmart}
Black permanent marker or paint pen
Assorted google eyes
Glue dots
SNICKERS® bars
Printable label

Simply decorate each bag any way you like to create a monster face. I used glue dots to attach eyes of various sizes, then added details like noses, mouths, and eyebrows with my paint pen.

Place a SNICKERS® bar in each bag, fold the top down, and attach the printable label with a glue dot. You can download the label here, or just right click on the image and save it to your computer.

That’s all there is to it! These make a fun sweet treat for any hungry mom or dad in the carpool lane…or for your co-workers, friends, and family members.
