Making your Metal Stamped Charm Bracelet:

Step 1: Secure your blank to the steel block.

Stamp Straight Tape will hold it in place and also help you keep your stamped letters aligned.

Step 2: Position your stamp with the raised image touching the blank and the ImpressArt logo facing you.

This will ensure that the letter stamps right-side-up. To make sure your word is centered, you can start with the middle letter, then work your way out toward the edges.

Step 3: Give the top of the stamp a firm tap with the hammer.

One solid hit will create a clean impression. If you tap too many times, you risk the stamp moving slightly and creating a doubled image. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you’ve stamped your entire word or phrase. Since this bracelet is a gift for my mom, I stamped “GMA,” which is the name my boys call her.

Step 4; Use the Stamp Enamel Marker to fill in the stamped areas with black paint.

This will create an oxidized look and also makes the letters easier to read. Let it dry, then gently wipe the surface with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove the excess.

Step 5: Attach the charm to the bracelet using a jump ring.

To open the jump ring, use pliers to gently twist the ends in opposite directions. Slide your charm on and insert a chain link of the bracelet. Then, twist the ring closed again.

Repeat to add more charms to your bracelet. Choosing the perfect charms for each person, plus stamping on some of them to add names, dates, or important phrases makes these bracelets totally personalized, unique gifts. For my mom’s bracelet, I chose the Cross With Heart and Heart With Heart charms in gold, along with the gold bracelet and jump rings.

For myself, I chose the Antique Silver charms, bracelet, and jump rings. I wanted one charm for each of my boys, so I picked things that had a special meaning. Ever since Little Crafter was born, I’ve told him, “love you to the moon and back,” so I chose the Moon and Stars charm for him. For Scout, I chose the Heart With Heart charm, because it reminds me of one of my favorite sayings about adoption, “you didn’t grow under my heart, but in it.” Finally, I chose a blank Circle Charm so I could stamp the phrase all three of us constantly say to each other, “love you more.”
