Hands down, the holidays are our favorite time of year here in the Artsy House. Little Crafter and I love having an extra excuse to get creative by making gifts for our family and friends. This year, since it’s his first year of school, LC has a lot more special people in his life like his classmates, administrators, and teachers. And since he’s got the world’s biggest heart, he wants to have a present for everyone. We can’t afford to buy fifty extra gifts, so we came up with an adorable snowball ornament we could make for them instead!
SCULPEY SNOWBALL ORNAMENTS
They’re super simple and inexpensive to make, and I think LC’s teachers and friends are going to love them as much as we do! Here’s how you can make your own!
Materials:
– Sculpey “Pluffy” clay, white
– parchment paper
– eye pins
– glue
– glitter
– ribbon
– button {mine was gifted from Buttons Galore}
Step 1: Roll clay into small balls and place on a cookie sheet. I used parchment paper to absorb any extra moisture.
Step 2: Gently insert an eye pin into each ball. This will become the loop you can hang the hook from!
Step 3: Bake according to package directions.
Step 4: After the balls are cool, spread glue all over them and roll them in glitter.
Step 5: Add a hook and tie a small piece of ribbon to it.
Step 6: Glue a button to the knot for extra decoration!
That’s all there is to it; easy peasy! No special creative talent required! If you can roll clay into a ball, you’re good to go. This was LC’s first Sculpey project and he absolutely loved it. We played around and made some ornaments with the other colors too, which I’ll share with you another day. What do you think? Would these look adorable on your tree? I’m definitely keeping a few for ours!

What are you calling a eye pin
dancers4life says
The eye pin is the piece of metal that has a little loop at the top. You can find them in the jewelry section of most craft stores or online. https://www.goodybeads.com/store/products/A019588.htm
