How to Make a Resurrection Day Snack

This edible empty tomb scene is quick and easy to create, and kids will love helping to make (and eat) it!

Image contains a resurrection scene made from a donut, donut hole, and graham cracker on a white plate.

You’ll Need

  • graham crackers
  • frosting (either green frosting, or white frosting and green food dye)
  • donuts
  • donut holes
  • tiny Jesus figurines
  • a knife
  • popsicle/craft sticks
  • glue or double sided tape
  • permanent marker

Instructions

  1. Spread green frosting on the top of the graham cracker.
  2. Cut off the bottom third of a donut, then press the top 2/3 into the “grass” on the graham cracker.
  3. Place a donut hole on the cracker next to the donut to symbolize the stone that was rolled away.
  4. Glue or tape two popsicle sticks together to form a cross, and write a message on it with permanent marker, like, “He is Risen,” or, “He lives!”
  5. Push the bottom of the cross into the donut.
  6. Add a tiny Jesus!
