Decoupage Flowerpots

Bring a touch of spring to your home decor with these fun and easy decoupage flowerpots. They’re fun and easy to make for crafters of all ages.

How to Make Decoupage Flowerpots

Just gather the basic craft supplies listed below, and you’ll be ready to create. This project can be completed in less than half an hour and can be totally customized using your favorite fabrics, colors, and shapes.

Materials

solid colored flowerpots (plastic, terracotta, ceramic, etc. will all work)
fabric scraps
flower or other shape templates (optional)
scissors
pencil or pen
Mod Podge (I recommend the Fabric formula)
sponge brush or large paintbrush

Instructions

1. Trace your templates onto fabric scraps, or you can draw shapes freehand if you like.

Pro tip: I like to trace on the back of the fabric so the pen marks aren’t visible. If you do this, you’ll want to flip any directional templates backwards while tracing, so they’re oriented correctly.

2. Cut out your fabric shapes.

3. Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the front of the flowerpot. Place fabric pieces on top, layering them as desired.

4. Seal with a coat of Mod Podge on top of the fabric.

Once the Mod Podge is dry, your flowerpots are ready to display.

Crafting Tips

While I used flowers, you can personalize your craft by using any shape(s) you like.
Feel free to add glitter formula Mod Podge or loose glitter while the Mod Podge is wet.
Try different colored pots as a base for a unique look.
