Chunky Pink Friendship Bracelet

I just love getting things in the mail, don’t you?!  I mean real, fun things {not bills}.  Letters, postcards, and best of all…presents!  Which is why I jumped at the chance to be a part of a friendship bracelet swap organized by Tia over at Sew Cal Mama.

I was matched up with a gal named Shannon, who told me that her favorite colors are fall colors and pink, and that she prefers chunky style jewelry.

So, I took Little Crafter to Michaels with me and we chose a strand of really fun pink beads that varied in shape, size, and shade.  All I did was string them on a piece of elastic and tie it off {tightly!}.  That’s the entire tutorial…really.  It was super duper easy to make; no tools or jewelry-making skills required.  Anyone can do it!  I absolutely looooove it…so, Shannon, if it’s not your thing, feel free to mail it back!

Otherwise, we’re off to Michaels to buy another strand of beads…Mama needs herself a pink bracelet too!

Meanwhile, it got me to thinking, would any of you all be interested in some kind of a swap organized here at One Artsy Mama?  Maybe holiday ornaments?  Or we could do bracelets too?  Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Happy Crafting!

  1. I think either of those would be fun….love ornaments, love bracelets…..a fun gift swap I did at a job once was a sock swap—of course that’s not something I could make, but it sure was fun to get a pair of goofy socks and a pair of regular ole socks. 🙂 This is coming from a sock-a-holic though.

  3. I suggest a bracelet swap first to see how it goes. Then, if it works for you, you could do an ornament swap in November for example. Sounds like a lot of fun. I would participate.

  4. LOVE the way this one turns out! I would totally wear that. I would also happily join in a swap of any kind they can be so much fun!!
