Friends, you know I love a good jewelry project…bonus points if it’s quick and easy, and this one totally is! These pretty gold plated gemstone earrings look like they were an expensive buy at a fancy store, but they take less than five minutes to make! In fact they’re so simple that I almost feel silly sharing the tutorial with you. Honestly! The secret is in the gorgeous beads, not the technique. Check it out…
Materials:
{Mine were provided by Goody Beads. The links below are affiliate links and will take you to exact products I used.}
– 15mm Gold Vermeil Plated Amazonite Beads
– Gold Plated Headpins
– Gold Plated French Ear Wires
– Needle Nose Pliers and Wire Cutters
Step 1: Place your bead on an eyepin. If you’re feeling lost already because you have never done any jewelry making, you might want to take just a minute to hop over to my Beading Basics post and get a step by step photo tutorial for this part.
Step 2: Use needle nose pliers to form a wire loop. You can wrap the extra wire if you like {I did}, or just cut it off and have a simple loop.
Step 3: Open your ear wire, attach the wire loop to it, then close it securely.
It’s that simple! These are so easy to make and literally took me less than five minutes.
These beads are also available in other colors; brown, purple, greenish, bright blue, and more. I’ve got my eye on the purple ones next! What about you?
