Many of you know that ever since Erin introduced me to Gilmore Girls during our Birthday Getaway, I have been completely obsessed. I’m like the poster child for Netflix these days…I’ve made it to Season 5 in less than three weeks {being snowed in definitely helped, but still}. Anyway, I made this pendant featuring one of my favorite things Luke says to Lorelai and of course, I used a star shaped blank for Stars Hollow. Take a look.
Materials:
ImpressArt Soft Strike Pewter Star Blank
ImpressArt Lollipop Uppercase Alphabet Stamps
Metal Stamping Hammer
Steel Stamping Block
Painters’ Tape
ImpressArt Stamp Enamel
Soft cloth or paper towel
Jump Ring
Pliers
Chain
To create your own, tape your blank to the steel block, using the tape as a guide to keep your letters straight. I like to start in the center and work my way outward. Place each stamp on the blank where you want it to go, then tap it firmly with the hammer to create an impression. Once all the letters are stamped, fill them in with enamel, let it dry for 30 seconds, then wipe off the excess with a soft cloth. Add a jump ring and a chain, and your necklace is ready to wear or give as a gift! If you’re brand new to metal stamping, be sure to check out my step-by-step photo tutorial for beginners too.
What do you think? Are you a huge Gilmore Girls fan too?

I can’t believe you are just now discovering Gilmore Girls. Better late than never though! My best friend and I during high school would binge watch for hours and love it! I have every season on DVD too. You are definitely not the only one that is obsessed.

I know! I’m 10 years behind, LOL! But in a way, I win, because now I won’t have to wait as long as the rest of you for the new episodes they’re supposedly filming now!

As a fellow Gilmore Girls lover, when I saw this in my Bloglovin’ feed I immediately clicked on it! AHH! I love this. It’s one of my favorite sayings from the series!! So Cute!! Getting a stamping kit is definitely on my list of things to do – I’m going to put this on my project list! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thanks, Mattie! I definitely recommend getting the basics to start stamping…even though it’s a bit of an investment initially, once you have the tools, you can make anything!
