Friends, I don’t know about you, but I have my cell phone with me at all times. No matter where I go, it comes along, and I use it all day long to check my emails, post to Instagram and Facebook, and more. It’s even my alarm clock, my radio, and a timer when I need one. So, it only makes sense to have a phone case I love! Recently, after not being able to find something I really wanted in stores, I created my own using one of my favorite pieces of original art. Here’s how I did it and you can too! {My case was provided by CaseApp, but all opinions are my own}.
This is the artwork I started with…a hand lettered design on a watercolor background that I made with my Tombow Dual Brush pens and the plastic baggie technique.
Step 1: Create a high-res digital image of your art.
I photographed mine and edited it in PicMonkey, but you can also use a scanner. Make sure you save it as a large image with high resolution so that it will print clearly.
Step 2: Go to CaseApp.com and choose your phone make and model.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, but there are also all kinds of iPhone cases available as well as iPad cases and laptop skins.
Step 3: Upload your artwork.
Once it loads, use the tools to resize and position your image wherever you want it to be on the case. You can also choose a background color or add text and clip art if you like.
I stuck with just my artwork and extended it out so that the design would fully wrap around the entire case. I also made sure the words wouldn’t be cut off by the opening for the camera.
Step 3: Preview your case!
I love the preview feature because it gives a great 3D example of exactly how your case will look.
Step 4: Order your case and put it to use!
I love mine and have gotten so many comments on it already. In addition to being pretty, it also does a great job protecting my phone. I have dropped it once or twice and had no damage whatsoever.

Hmmm, tough call. Probably my son’s self portrait from art class this year. Don’t worry, it was not inspired by Picasso and both of his ears are depicted and uninjured. Hahaha

I love the idea of using a Bible verse. My verse for the year is “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
