Hand Lettering Off the Page: Coming November 17, 2020!

Friends, you may have noticed that it’s been pretty quiet here on the website since the new year began. I wanted to let you know that the reason I haven’t had the opportunity to post much is because I’ve been hard at work on something very exciting…a brand new book called Hand Lettering Off the Page!

This newest book project is unique, because unlike my previous hand lettering books, which are workbooks that give you designs to create there on the pages, it’s all about taking your skills OFF the page and using them to make all kinds of decor, apparel, and gifts!

I’ve been working around the clock to come up with twenty-five projects that give you opportunities to hand letter on a huge variety of surfaces, including wood, chalkboard, mirror, glass, ceramic, leather, fabric, and more. You’ll learn step by step how to create each project as well as what supplies work best on different media.

I am really excited about the projects in this book, and I think you’re going to love them too! We will look at everything from upcycling and lettering on a piece of thrift-store furniture to embroidering on a denim jacket and using fabric paint on a pair of canvas slides. Of course, I’ll make sure to provide the lettering instruction you need as well as a sample design you can recreate, or you can take the tips and make something totally one-of-a-kind.

Hand Lettering Off the Page is my fifth project with Page Street Publishing, and we can’t wait to get it into your hands this fall. The release date is set for November 17, but you can preorder anytime! (Ignore the incorrect title on Amazon; it’s getting fixed soon!) I’ll be filling you in more as we get closer to the big day, but I wanted to let you know why I haven’t been around much lately. This book has been so much fun to create, and I hope you absolutely love it! Thank you all so much for your support of Amy Latta Creations; none of this would be happening without you!
