How to Make Glittered Seashell Ornaments

One of the best things about this project is how easily you can customize it to create totally unique ornaments. Just by changing the size and color of the glitter and how much of the shell you apply it to, you can make each ornament one-of-a-kind. You can also use all different types and sizes of shells that you collect from the beach.

Materials

Instructions

Apply MONO Aqua Liquid Glue to the areas of the shell that you want to sparkle.

You can cover as much or as little of the shell as you like.

Sprinkle loose glitter on top of the wet glue.

Gently tap the shell to remove excess glitter.

I like to do this over top of scrap paper, so I can funnel the extra glitter back into the container. Let your glue dry completely before moving on to the final step.

Add a hanger to the back of the shell.

I used gold cord, but you can also substitute twine or ribbon. Just cut a 5” piece and tie the ends together in a knot, then glue the knot to the back of the shell.

Once the glue is dry, your ornament is ready to display! Whether you use it for Christmas in July or save it for December, it’s a beautiful DIY beach souvenir.
