Bottlecap Snowman Ornaments: Video Tutorial

Five years ago, I had a crafting night with my friend Kelly and we created Christmas ornaments, including some really adorable little snowmen made from bottlecaps. I excitedly wrote up a blog post and published it, never expecting it to become one of my most popular posts of all time! These little guys have been featured on countless websites {including Country Living} and in print magazines all over the world. They’ve been viewed more times than any other non-hand lettering project I have ever shared.

In honor of their fifth “birthday,” I thought it was a great time to take a new photo {the old ones are pretty terrible!} and share a video tutorial for how to create them. Originally, I did this video live on Facebook, but you can still craft along with me whenever you like!

You’ll need:

3 bottlecaps {per snowman}
FolkArt Multi-Surface Paint {white, black, orange, and any other colors you like}
Mod Podge Sparkle
paintbrushes
scissors
glue or glue dots
ribbon

Once you have your supplies, just hit play and we’ll make these little cuties together! They’re great gifts for neighbors and teachers, and they’re adorable tied onto packages too!

If you make some, I’d love to see how they turn out! Hop on over to the One Artsy Mama & Friends Facebook group and show us a photo. See you there!
