If you have ever wanted to attend one of my hand lettering workshops, now’s your chance! To celebrate National Handwriting Day on January 23, I am teaming up with Tombow and Michaels Stores to bring you a free online class, Hand Lettering for Everyone.
First, we’ll cover Faux Calligraphy, then we’ll practice some basic brush technique with a few simple drills. We’ll look at some of my favorite embellishments too, then you’ll combine your skills to decorate the front of a sketch book or journal you can use for your continued practice! The class takes place at 1 PM EST on January 23, 2021. It’s completely free, and practice sheets will be provided. I recommend that you have either the Tombow Beginner or Advanced Lettering Kit (We’ll be using the Tombow Dual Brush Pen, Tombow Fudenosuke, and Tombow Monotwin), and a journal to decorate. I recommend the Artist’s Loft Dot Journal 6×8,” which is available in a variety of colors.
Sign up by heading to this link and clicking, “book now.”
Since it’s a virtual workshop, there’s no limit to how many people can participate, so tell all your friends to sign up too! If the specific time and date doesn’t work for you, you’ll be able to watch the recorded class later, but if you can join in live, it’s way more fun since we can interact and you can ask questions as I go. I hope you’ll sign up and I look forward to “seeing” you there!
