With Mother’s Day already behind us, it’s time to start thinking about the hardworking men in our lives! I (Erin) wanted something that was quick and easy to make, but also represented a shared interest between my husband and our three boys (since our sweet baby girl doesn’t have an opinion yet on the matter.) If your house is anything like mine, my boys (and husband) are obsessed with all thing superhero and I am surrounded daily by epic battles between good and bad guys, and little boys dressed as Spiderman, Iron Man, and The Hulk. I wanted to give Steve a daily reminder of our boys, as well as let him know how much we love him!
Materials:
-Wooden Frame (holds a 4×6 picture or bigger)
-Scrapbook Paper (Superhero Motif)
-Mod Podge
-Alphabet Stickers
-Ink Pad
-Permanent Markers
-THIS Printable (Can be sized from a 4×6-8×10)
Step 1: Print out the free printable and cut it out to fit a 4×6 frame. Have the kids fingerprint the “faces”. Once they are dry, add details with the permanent markers!
Step 2: Cut out shapes from your desired scrapbook paper, and mod podge the paper to your frame, filling in any gaps as you go. Seal the whole thing with one coat of mod podge.
Step 3. Once everything is dry, add alphabet stickers to spell out a special Father’s Day message!
All you have to do now is add your special piece of personalized art, and give it to the favorite superhero in your life! I love how this turned out, and my husband wants to take it to work with him, so he can see it every day. You can easily make this for an uncle, grandfather, or any special guy that you’d like to recognize.
