Nothing says winter decor quite like a snow globe. Here’s a super-simple, inexpensive way to create your own DIY Snow Globes, using any figurine you want inside! Take a look…
You’ll need:
small jars (mine were from the Target Dollar Spot)
your choice of ornaments or figurines
clay OR permanent adhesive/glue
confetti glitter
fine glitter
Step 1: Attach your figurine to the inside of the jar lid.
I wanted to be able to remove ours later, so I used a ball of clay. If you want to keep your snow globe together permanently, you can use glue instead for a more secure hold.
You can use any type of small figurine or ornament you like. I chose a Starbucks collectible ornament and one of my son’s Mario figures to create these. Be sure your figure fits completely in the jar when the lid is attached.
Step 2: Fill the jar about 1/4 of the way with PolyPellets and glitter.
Step 3: Attach lid to the jar.
Make sure it’s tightly secured.
All that’s left to do is flip the closed jar upside down and enjoy your new snow globe! These are so simple and inexpensive to make, and the possibilities are endless, since you can use any container and figurine you like.
If you try this project, I’d love to see how yours turns out! Be sure to share photos of this or any of your holiday projects with us in the Amy Latta & Friends Facebook Group so we can all be inspired. See you there!
