Cherry Blossom Planter

Here in the Maryland/DC area, nothing says Spring quite like cherry blossoms. When they bloom, we know that the winter is (mostly) past and warmer weather is around the corner. I decided to decorate a planter with these pretty blossoms, using some of my favorite Tombow supplies. Take a look…

How to Make a Cherry Blossom Planter

You can create this project using any size and shape planter you like. I chose to use a hexagon, but you can use a round or other shaped pot if you prefer.

Materials

  • white unglazed ceramic pot
  • Tombow drawing pencil
  • Tombow MONO eraser
  • Tombow MONO Twin Permanent Marker
  • Tombow Dual Brush Pens

Once you’ve gathered your supplies, head on over to the Tombow USA Blog, where I’m sharing a full step-by-step tutorial for how to draw these flowers (it’s easier than you think!) and create the Cherry Blossom Planter project.

I’m using my finished project to hold a faux plant, since that’s the only kind I seem able to keep alive. However, if you have a green thumb, you can plant anything you like!

Crafting Tips

  • If you plan on using your cherry blossom planter for a real flower, you’ll want to seal it first so that it doesn’t get damaged by any contact with water.
  • This project is not intended for outdoor use.
  • Check your craft and hobby store, or Amazon for a variety of planter options.
