Back to School Pencil Snack
The new school year is just around the corner, or in some places, already here! Celebrate with this fun and easy back to school pencil themed snack that kids and teachers alike are sure to love.

How to Make a Back to School Pencil Snack
These little snack packs are really easy to create; all you need to do is layer the ingredients in the right order to form the parts of a pencil!
You’ll need:
- cone shaped treat bags
- miniature chocolate chips
- popcorn
- Goldfish crackers
- foil-wrapped (silver) chocolate candies
- pink Starburst or other pink candy
- ribbon
- scissors

Cone shaped cellophane bags are available in different sizes; any will work for this project. I tried two different sizes, and they both turned out adorable. To create your pencils, start by adding a few mini chocolate chips to the tip of the bag, then place a few pieces of popcorn on top. Next, add goldfish crackers for the main part of the pencil. Add a layer of foil-wrapped chocolates (I used Hershey kisses), then create the eraser using pink candies. Tie off the bag at the top using ribbon, and your back to school pencil snack is ready to share.

These make a perfect little gift for teachers or students, and they’re a really fun after-school snack.
Crafting Tips
- Feel free to substitute any of the ingredients for other snacks that are similar in color and size. Pink Skittles or mentos, small cheese crackers, etc. work just as well if they’re the snacks your kiddos prefer.
- Add a printed tag to personalize these even more, with a message like “Have a Sharp School Year” or the recipient’s name.
- Use back to school themed ribbon that’s printed with an ABC or ruler design for an extra festive touch.
