Tonight is another Countdown to Christmas movie premiere on Hallmark Channel: Heart of the Holidays! This feel-good film stars Vanessa Lengies as Sam, a career-driven woman who returns home for the holidays and runs into her high school boyfriend Noah (played by Corey Sevier). Together, they rediscover what matters most in life. (Learn more about the movie here.)
The ornament I created to go along with this movie is based on the fact that the main characters’ love story goes back to their childhood. I thought it would be fun to represent their romance with a little wood slice ornament that looks like their initials carved together in a tree. Take a look:

Use the marker to draw a heart with initials inside. I traced over my lines several times to make them darker. Don’t worry about your heart or letters looking perfect; remember, it’s supposed to look like it was done by hand.
Add a ribbon, cord, or string to hand the ornament. Mine had a pre-drilled hole, so I just slid a thin piece of green ribbon through. If yours isn’t pre-drilled, you can always glue the hanger to the back.
That’s all there is to it – a sweet, super-simple little keepsake, ready for the tree. Be sure to watch Heart of the Holidays to see how Sam and Noah reconnect and rekindle that childhood romance! Also, check out these other ornaments from the Countdown to Christmas series:
